Join me in this wonderful and unique photo expedition to the country that holds the highest number of species in the world!!!

Day 1 - Our trip starts in Cali, Colombia where our driver will pick you up at the Inernational airport. From there we venture to some of the best bird photography areas around Cali.

Day 2-3 - Two full days around Cali. This area is the home of many endemic species of Colombia. We will target many birds including the wonderful Multi-colored Tanager.

Day 4 - 5 - These day we move to Manizales. A whole new set of species to photograph here. Hummingbirds, Tanagers, Parrots, Tucanets and many other species will be photographers here. We will photograph hummingbirds in natural light and also using multi-flash setups provided by me. All of our photography is conducted from decks were birds come to us. No hiking, no shooting in bad light!!!! Perfect light, perfect perches, and perfect backgrounds!!!!

Day 6-7 - Nevado del Ruiz Area - we move to our next destination on Day 6 but on the way we photograph more Toucans, Ant-pittas and other species of hummingbirds. While here we will do a visit to the National Park to search for the wonderful endemic Bearded Helmetcrest. After that we go back to setup photography using the feeders and setups at our wonderful lodge.

Day 8-11 - Valle de Antioca and Choco Region- our next destination is the Carmen de Atrato area where we will photograph a whole new set of species of birds. This area is knows as the "Choco" area famous for its beautiful species of our feathered friends. Here we will also visit one of the most iconic birds of South America, the Andean Cock of the Rock. We will have plenty of opportunities to photograph this amazing bird in fantastic photographic conditions. We will also target many of the species here including the endangered Yellow Eared Parrot.

Day 12 - Today we start making our way to the wonderful city of Medellin, Colombia second largest metropolitan area. On the way we will stop for our last outing which is actually one of our favorite spots for photography. Torrent Ducks, Inca Jays, Andean Motmot, Red-bellied Grackle, and many other species will be found and photographed here. After photographing we head into Medellin for our last night in wonderful Colombia.

Day 13 - After breakfast our transport will take you to the international airport for your flight home. End of our services.

    $7500.00 per photographer (double occupancy)

- Lodging during our tour.

- Local Bilingual Guides.

DOES NOT INCLUDE::
- Airfare to and from Colombia..
- Dinner the first night.
- Alcoholic Beverages.
- Personal items (souvenirs, batteries, etc).
- Extra services at Hotels (laundry service, etc.)
- Gratuities for local guides, porters, wait staff and drivers.   

We are limiting the number of photographers to 8 (for a 4:1 participant to instructor ratio) so you can get our full attention and be very comfortable at all shooting locations and during transport with your photo gear.

A $2000 deposit is required at the time of enrollment with full payment due by June 15, 2024.

Deposits & Cancellation Policy:

  • A $2000 deposit is required at the time of enrollment with full payment due by June 15, 2024.

  • Deposits and tour/workshop fees are non-refundable.

  • If the photo workshop is full and someone from the waiting list can take your spot, your tuition is fully refundable minus a 15% cancellation fee.

  • We are not responsible for cancellations due to medical or other reasons.

  • Should cancellation be required due to severe weather, an alternate date will be scheduled at no additional charges.

  • No fees will be refunded if you withdraw after the photo workshop begins.

  • We are not responsible for any fees associated with non-refundable air travel, we highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance.
