2028 BIRDS OF COLOMBIA
Spring Photo Adventure
March 18–29, 2028 | Limited to 8 Photographers
Photograph One of the Most Bird-Diverse Countries on Earth
Join us for an unforgettable 12-day photographic journey through the spectacular mountains and forests of Colombia—one of the world’s premier destinations for bird photography.
From colorful tanagers, toucans and hummingbirds to antpittas, motmots, trogons and the spectacular Andean Cock-of-the-Rock, this expedition has been designed to put photographers in front of an incredible variety of species and photographic opportunities.
We’ll travel through some of Colombia’s most productive birding regions, including Cali, Cajamarca, Manizales and Jardín, photographing at carefully selected reserves and private locations chosen specifically for their birds and photography potential.
Throughout the tour, we’ll work with both natural-light photography and specialized multi-flash hummingbird setups, giving you opportunities to create everything from beautiful environmental portraits to dramatic, frame-filling images of Colombia’s remarkable birds.
SMALL GROUP. BIG PHOTOGRAPHIC OPPORTUNITIES.
This tour is limited to just 8 photographers, allowing us to maintain a 4:1 participant-to-instructor ratio. The small group means more room at shooting locations, easier transportation with camera gear, and—most importantly—more individual photographic instruction in the field.
Whether we are working on composition, exposure, backgrounds, flash techniques or capturing the perfect moment, our goal is not simply to show you Colombia’s birds. Our goal is to help you come home with exceptional images and become a better wildlife photographer along the way.
